About Doug Gruenke

Doug was born at Scott Air Force Base, Illinois and was raised in New Baden, Illinois. He has also resided in New Baden since age 11, except for a brief period when he left to go to college. Doug is a graduate of Wesclin High School, where he competed in Track and Field, Cross Country and academic competitions. After graduating from Wesclin, he attended Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville. After earning his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science and serving as a Student Senator at SIU-E, Doug set his eyes on a law degree, and successfully obtained his J.D. from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale.

During college, Doug met his wife, Georgia. They currently reside in New Baden with their four children, ages 15, 9, 9, and 5.

When not practicing law, Doug spends much of his time coaching his children’s various athletic teams and serving in numerous capacities at his church, First Baptist Church in O’Fallon, Illinois.
